Rose Marie Stark, daughter of Grant and LaVerna (Graue) Stark, was born May 17, 1939, in Montevideo, MN. She was raised in Montevideo and graduated from high school there in 1957. Rose married John Docken on June 18, 1960 in Montevideo. The couple moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1965 where she began working for Raven Industries in the Design Department. She worked there for 39 years until she retired in 2004.

In her free time Rose enjoyed sewing, reading, cross stitching, taking care of her garden, completing crossword puzzles, going out to dinner with friends and going camping with family. She was a loving and selfless wife, mother and grandmother; a wonderful sister and a dear friend to all those who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all those who shared her life.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, John Docken, Sioux Falls; sons, Tim Docken and his wife, Deb, and Mark Docken, both of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Katie Docken, Salem, SD, Patricia and Thomas Docken, both of Sioux Falls, Shawn Miller, Sioux Falls, Melissa Picchietti, Bellvue, NE and Nathan Docken, Chamberlain, SD; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Hadrath, Sioux Falls, SD and Carol Berends and her husband, Mike, Maynard, MN; and brother, Doug Stark and his wife, Ann, Montevideo, MN.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and LaVerna Stark and sister, Patricia.
