Paul A. Moots, age 43, died on Monday, July 12, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday at East Side Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls with burial to follow at Hills of Rest Memorial Park in Sioux Falls. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Thursday at George Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A memorial fund has been set up at First Premier Bank.

Paul Anthony Moots was born on November 16, 1966 at Springfield, MN. At a young age his family moved to Sioux Falls. When Paul was 16 he began working at Sioux Marble in Brandon; Paul’s love for cars also led him to part time work at a number of auto parts stores in Sioux Falls. On December 20, 1985 Paul was united in marriage with Jonay Graue; the couple made their home in the Sioux Falls, Brandon area’s raising three children.

Paul’s passion was his family and friends; he loved grilling out for them, spending time with them, and doing anything he could for them. He also enjoyed working on and rebuilding cars. He attended and competed in many car shows throughout the years. Paul was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Jonay Moots of Sioux Falls; three children, Anthony (Kristin) Moots, Brandon, SD, Ashley Moots, Sioux Falls, and Timothy (Kimberly) Moots, Brandon, SD; five grandchildren, Logan, Zachary, Kennedy, Miley and Aiden; parents, John and Dianna Schaffer of Sioux Falls, SD; brother Mike Moots of Ankeny, IA; sister, Melissa (Paze) Cook, Canton, SD; and grandmother, Dolores Moots of Aurora, CO.
