Arleene Pascoe
October 27, 1923 - June 25, 2017





Arleene Pascoe, 93 of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Center.

Arleene Sylvia Koch, daughter of Walter and Ananda Koch, was born on October 27, 1923, in Hudson, SD. She grew up on the family farm near Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School.

Arleene was united in marriage with William Pascoe on October 24, 1946, in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple was stationed in several locations around the United States while Bill was serving in the US Navy. They farmed in the Hudson area for many years. The family moved to Sioux Falls in 1959, and Arleene began working with the City of Sioux Falls, and they owned and operated several businesses in the Sioux Falls area. Bill passed away while they were living in Colorado Springs, CO, and Arleene later returned to Sioux Falls. Arleene worked with Frank Transfer in Sioux Falls until her retirement.

Active in the VFW Post 628 Auxiliary and having served as past president of MOCA (Military Order Of Cooties), Arleene enjoyed spending time with people. Quilting was an important part of Arleene’s life and she remained active in quilter’s guilds. She devoted many hours caring for her daughters’ struggles with Multiple Sclerosis.

Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter Merry Millage, Sioux Falls, SD; sons-in-law Larry Watkins, Watertown, SD, Jack Bryan, Sioux Falls, SD; brother W. Robert Koch, Sioux Falls, SD; sister Bette Hansen, Larchwood, IA; sister-in-law Doris Koch, Larchwood, IA; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Arleene was preceded in death by her husband William; daughters Bonnie Bryan and Dianna Watkins; sister Eleanor Skrondal; and brother Orlo Koch.
