Annetta Van Dyke
November 26, 1924 - July 10, 2017

Annette Van Dyke, 92, of Sioux Falls, SD, died Monday, July 10, 2017, at the Tripp Good Samaritan Society.

Annette Fischer daughter of Christian and Johanna (Drefs) Fischer was born November 26, 1924 in Parkston, SD. She attended grade school in Douglas County. She was united in marriage to Maynard Juhnke on April 25, 1946 in Parkston. Annette enjoyed living on the farm and assisting Maynard. They lived in Parkston until moving to Sioux Falls in 1956. In her early years in Sioux Falls she worked as a cook for the School For the Deaf and also at Raven Industries Inc. Maynard passed away on January 9, 1975.

On December 10, 1977, Annette was united in marriage to Gerrit Van Dyke in Sioux Falls. They were longtime members of First Congregational Church in Sioux Falls. Annette also belonged to several civic organizations including the Moose Lodge and the VFW Auxiliary. Some of her hobbies included shopping and playing BINGO.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Dr. Louis (Mary) Fischer of Naples, FL, Harold Fischer of Parkston, SD, and Raymond (Millie) Fischer of Parkston; sisters, Berniece Bialas of Parkston, Dorothy (Fred) Stahl of Mitchell, SD, and Lorraine Peters of Parkston; brother-in-law, Charles Dawes of Lennox, SD; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and granddaughters Samantha and Traci. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Maynard and Gerrit; brother, Bernard; sisters, Hilda Semmler and Linda Dawes; brothers-in-law, Henry Peters, Christ Semmler, and Harvey Bialas; and sisters-in-law, MariAnn Fischer and Lorraine Fischer.
