Kenneth R. Munce
October 13, 1922 - August 14, 2017

Kenneth R. Munce, 94, formerly of Sioux Falls, SD, died August 14, 2017 in Fountain Hills, AZ at the Fountain View Assisted Living Facility. Kenneth moved to Fountain Hills two years ago to be close to his daughter and her husband.

Kenneth was born October 13, 1922 to William and Myrtle (Brandt) Munce and spent most of his life in Sioux Falls. He graduated from Washington High School in 1941. He attended Nettleton College. In 1942, he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII, proudly serving his country in England where he met the love of his life, Doris Boff. They were married in Sioux Falls, SD on August 17, 1946 and were blessed with two children, Linda and Don.

In 1956, Ken and his brother, Howard bought out their Dadís moving company that was established in 1911. They re-named the company Munce Bros. Transfer & Storage and ran the business for about 40 years before retiring. He was a member of Faith Family Church, American Legion, VFW, and Elks. He always enjoyed woodworking, tinkering in his yard and growing his garden.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Linda Schwaba and her husband, Todd, Fountain Hills, AZ and Donald Munce and his wife, Linda, Baltic, SD; grandchildren, David Kiel and his wife, Jill, Jeff Kiel and his wife, Kimberly, and Andrew Munce and his wife, Arika, Timothy Munce and his wife, Sarah, and Thomas Munce and his wife, Kristin; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Emma, Cooper and Audrey Kiel and Lydia and Michael Munce; his sister Barbara Long; sister-in-law Helen Munce; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, in 2005; his parents; his siblings, Howard and his wife, Della, Richard Munce, Vivian Brandland and her husband, Henry; and his brother-in-law, Vernon Long.

Ken was a dedicated husband, father, business owner, WWII Vet and friend to many, but most importantly ~ a Christian man.
